According to a spokesman for Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, interest rates are expected to increase in the next few months. I have been urging my clients to decide to buy now rather than later because rates will begin to go up as the energy cost and inflation start to climb. Since El Paso tends to lag behind the national economy by 6 months, we are now starting to see a small decline in home prices with the median price at $130K.
